About Samoa

Samoa with its capital Apia is a country in Oceania (Polynesia), slightly smaller than Rhode Island (2,944 km²). The country is located Oceania, group of islands in the South Pacific Ocean, about half way between Hawaii and New Zealand. The climate can be described as tropical; rainy season (November to April), dry season (May to October). The landscape is two main islands (Savaii, Upolu) and several smaller islands and uninhabited islets; narrow coastal plain with volcanic, rocky, rugged mountains in interior.
